Snuggled behind the bustling coastal strip is the Noosa Coastal Hinterland; a patchwork of tranquil lakes, lush forests and pastures, guarded by striking volcanic formations that offer stunning mountain top vistas of the hinterland and coast beyond. A landscape that invites exploration!

Things to do

Behind the ocean dunes is pristine Lake Weyba. Drift along the lake and everglade style creeks by kayak, often reflecting amazing mirror images of the tree canopy and sky above. Ideal for birdwatching, photography and swimming. Spot a kangaroo hopping through the waters!

The lush green rolling valleys of the Noosa Coastal Hinterland are dotted with cafe’s, galleries, farm gates and boutique vineyards. On your way to the legendary Eumundi markets, visit makers of fine French nougat, or pamper yourself at a Balinese style Day Spa.

Polish up your golf skills under blue skies, as you stroll through pockets of rainforest. Share 9 holes of golf with a mob of kangaroos!

The mysterious volcanic formation of Mt Tinbeerwah, towers over Noosa’s coast and hinterland with its mountain top lookout, walking and bike trails, and it’s sheer rock faces; an abseiling and rock climbing paradise.

Explore the Lake Weyba Sections of the Noosa National Park. In spring the wildflowers of the coastal heathlands put on a spectacular show blanketing the landscape with their kaleidoscope of blooms.

A short drive from Noosaville is an excellent range of B&B’s and self contained cottages, each with it’s own inimitable style and ambience. A relaxing and peaceful base for your coastal holiday.
