Explore the precincts and villages of the Noosa area and discover great food, local shopping, historic and creative communities and welcoming locals.

From beachfront towns to hinterland communities steeped in history, take some time to journey through the luxury Noosa region and beyond.

Hastings Street is arguably the most well known part of Noosa with its beachfront dining and fantastic boutique shopping, however the Noosaville area is fast becoming known as the place to get away from it all with sensational restaurants and cafe's along the Gympie Terrace area and a range of accommodation from budget to 5 star.

Noosa Junction is Noosa's best kept secret and a place that the locals know and love. Eclectic boutiques and some of the best coffee in Noosa can be found at the Junction.

Heading south you'll pass through Sunshine Beach, another favourite with locals. The Surf Club has some of the best views on the coast and restaurants at Sunshine Beach serve up delectable cuisine.

A few kilometres further south you'll hit the wonderful village of Peregian Beach with it's regular weekend markets. The Peregian Originals are highlight of this neck of the woods and bring free live music next to the beach on the first and third Sunday of the month.

Just a little further down the road you'll find Coolum with the imposing figure of Mount Coolum sitting just outside the township. Coolum boasts one of the last beachfront caravan parks on the coast and the newly renovated shopping precint houses boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Take a walk up Mount Coolum for some impressive views of the area.

Heading west out of Noosa will take you through the bustling centre of Tewantin, the first area in  Noosa to be settled. Stop into the information centre on the main street to see some photos depicting how Noosa looked in years past.

Continuing west you'll come to the Noosa Hinterland towns of Cooroy, Pomona, Cooran and Kin Kin. Galleries abound in the Hinterland with plenty of fresh local produce and some of the friendliest people you're likely to encounter. Don't miss catching a show at the Majestic Theatre in Pomona, Australia's oldest continuously running silent movie theatre.

South West of Noosa is the Noosa Coastal Hinterland with Lake Weyba at its centre. The Lake features a number of cosy boutique B&B's and cottages where you can relax in tranquility and watch the kangaroos graze at the lake's edge. Or if you're feeling active you can take a canoe out on the lake or even cycle into town.

Eumundi is another 'must-see' in the Noosa area. Located just 20 mins west of Noosa it is well known for the famous Eumundi Markets which attract visitors from far and wide every Wednesday and Saturday but any day is a great day to visit Eumundi.

North West of Noosa, about 15 minutes out of town you'll find the lakeside village of Boreen Point on the shores of Lake Cootharaba. A popular spot for sailors and kitesurfers, Borreen Point has a fantastic campground and Caravan Park and is a good base to explore the Noosa Everglades by boat, canoe or kayak.

Noosa really is a wonderfully diverse area with a little something for everyone so on your next visit, make sure you get out and explore it all.
