30 minutes from the glitz of Noosa, kangaroos wander through the grassy Elanda Point Camping Park. It has modern amenities and a well stocked kiosk on the shores of Lake Cootharaba.
The Elanda Point Canoe Company hires canoes, kayaks, motor boats and camping equipment for adventures through the nearby Everglades. On the lake they hire sail cats and learner windsurfers.
On Fridays and Saturdays they run guided canoe safaris through the Everglades. Adjacent is a complex comprising dormitory accommodation, complete with dining/meeting hall and kitchen.
The complex is utilised by school, church and business groups.
