Getting around Noosa
Noosa is a well laid out, relatively level town with a variety of transport options for getting around the area. It is also a community that embraces alternative transport choices and encourages travel behaviour change.

Local buses
Buses wend their way along Noosa’s main thoroughfares and to railway stations, beaches and attractions including Eumundi markets. Look out for bright blue buses that stop at the well-marked stops when hailed. Pick up a brochure or find out about timetables at www.translink.com.auTaxi

Transport for hire
Various scooter, motorcycle and car companies operate in Noosa. Licensed drivers can choose from environmentally friendly scooters to zip around the town streets, or embark on a day trip or multi-day journey in small, medium or family-sized cars and four wheel drives.

Ferry
Listen for the sounding of the whistle that announces the Noosa Ferry is on the move. The Noosa Ferry makes regular trips along the river from Noosa Marina at Tewantin to the Sheraton Jetty at Hastings Street. Passengers can hop on and off, listen to expert commentary and take in the scenery, other river craft, jetties, and magnificent riverside homes along the way.

Noosa has an extensive network of bike tracks, including an increasing number of green bicycle lanes designed to keep cyclists safe. Free holiday buses
Getting around Noosa during the holiday season is easy and free. During the Christmas and Easter holiday breaks, all local buses are free and stop at local attractions, beaches, shopping and eating precincts, and convey passengers to nearby villages. Call in at one of the Noosa Visitor Information Centres or ask your accommodation manager for information about the bus routes and timetable.
