Author: Ella Reddaway

Noosa and its surrounds are a teenager’s paradise for things to see, do and eat. With countless delicious restaurants, captivating activities and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, there are endless things to do for a teen to do while visiting Noosa. With so much to do and often so little time, here is a list of must-do and see experiences for any teen on a weekend in Noosa.

Friday

Hastings Street on a Friday night is known for its bustling, energetic atmosphere and delicious, aromatic scents accompanied by the sounds of dreamy live music in the air. Also well known, and a must-visit for all teens in Noosa is Betty’s Burgers. With a menu of delicious burgers, shakes and their famous Concrete Co. blended ice creams, Betty’s is the ultimate teen dining experience.

Following a yummy meal and a short stroll down Hastings Street, teens will find themselves at Pixels Arcade. Pixels offers a huge variety of fun arcade and console games, accompanied by their comfortable ‘outdoor chill space’. With a fun atmosphere, loads of game options and friendly staff, Pixels is the best teen night-time hang-out in Noosa.

Saturday

In terms of a must-do Noosa breakfast, an Acai bowl is the go-to. Recently opened, Oakberry Acai on Hastings Street sells a range of bowls and toppings, as well as freshly made fruit smoothies. Open from 7 am, Oakberry offers a delicious and healthy takeaway brekky to fuel a teen’s day exploring Noosa.

After eating brekky on the beautiful Noosa Main Beach, a national park walk is one of the best ways to spend a morning. Encompassing one unforgettable beach after another, walking the Noosa National Park coastal track is one of the most breath-taking experiences that Noosa has to offer. Only a short walk from Boiling Pot at the beginning of the park is Tea Tree Bay. Whether taking a dip in the pristine, blue waters or catching a wave on the remarkably long surf break, Tea Tree Bay is the perfect spot for a rest and to take in the natural beauty of Noosa. If you’re lucky- you may even spot a koala here!

After the beautiful but tiring walk back from the national park, lunch is definitely on the cards. Situated right in front of Noosa Main Beach is the iconic Noosa Heads Surf Club. Not only does the upstairs restaurant provide a breathtaking waterfront view, but it also boasts a variety of delicious lunches. With a range of salads, burgers, pasta and more, the surf club menu truly has something to please anyone.

Located right in front of the surf club is Noosa Beach Surf Hire. Here, teens can spend the afternoon surfing on the famous Noosa Main Beach or SUP-ing around the breathtaking Noosa headland. With a little luck, teens may even spot a pod of dolphins or a turtle while out on the water.

Finally, to finish off the day, pizza for dinner at Zachary’s on Hastings Street is essential. Having been in Noosa for many years, Zachary’s is well-known for its delicious pizzas and friendly environment- it is truly a people pleaser and is sure to impress teens.

Sunday

Sundays in Noosa are known by locals to be a time to relax and explore. Well-known Blended Health Bar is an ideal take-away brekky spot with a varied menu of breakfast bowls, pastries, smoothies, and many other healthy options.

After brekky, teens can hop on a free holiday bus for just 20 minutes and head down to the lovely Peregian Beach Village. With luxurious boutiques and delicious cafés and restaurants, Peregian Beach is the ideal relaxed Sunday spot. After some shopping and exploring, teens will love the delicious Sushi Wave restaurant for a casual sit-down lunch.

Returning on the free bus, teens can then take a five-minute walk back to Noosa Main Beach from the bus stop and have a leisurely afternoon swim. After this, Gelatissimo on Hastings Street is the perfect spot for a delicious weekend treat.

During the evening, teens can once again catch a free bus to the Noosa Junction, just five minutes from Hastings Street and head to Noosa BBC Event Cinemas for a movie and some snacks before dinner.
