On the Noosa Wedding Trail
Bentley or Kombi? DJ, cello or band? Fireworks or doves? Beachfront ceremony, golf course or riverside? Restaurant reception or catered in a tipi? There are 1001 questions for anyone thinking of planning a wedding … brides and grooms-to-be can have your queries answered at the very first Noosa Wedding Trail this Sunday 7 August.
Eight reception venues in Noosa Heads, Noosaville and at Noosa Marina in Tewantin will host more than 100 professional exhibitors, including photography and video, celebrants, delicious cakes, photo booths, live music, DJs, caterers, flowers, day spa, wedding planners, make-up and hair, bridal wear and fairy lights – there’s even a 1965 Rolls Royce, a 1966 Kombi, vintage caravan mobile bar, fireworks, doves and a magician! See the full list of exhibitors here.
Entry is free to all venues, open from 10am-3pm, and there is free parking. There’s even free transport around Noosa to the styled wedding resorts, venues and beachfront ceremony sites – and a beautiful ferry cruise along Noosa River to check out the waterfront venues from the best possible viewpoint.
The easy way to get around is to plan your day in advance, then register and pick up your free Noosa Wedding Trail Bag at any of the showcase reception venues from 10am: RACV Noosa Resort, Noosa Springs Resort & Spa, Peppers Noosa Resort & Villas, Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort (formerly the Sheraton Noosa Resort), South Pacific Resort & Spa, The River Deck Restaurant, Noosa Boathouse and Noosa Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Park for free at Noosa Springs Resort & Spa, Noosa Marina or the Noosa Convention & Exhibition Centre and hop on and off the free Noosa Hinterland Tours shuttles that leave from the showcase venues. There’s also free parking near South Pacific Resort & Spa from 1pm (parking is limited in this area before this time due to the nearby and very popular Noosa Farmers Market).
For a beautiful tour of waterfront reception venues including Pier 11 Restaurant at Noosa Marina, Noosa Waterfront Restaurant, Noosa Boathouse Restaurant, Culgoa Point Beach Resort, Ricky's River Bar & Restaurant and private sandbar ceremony sites, book the special Noosa Ferry tour from 3.30-5pm for a return trip from Noosa Marina with commentary, complimentary canapes and wine – your trail bag will include a ferry voucher for 2 people and you must book for the tour (phone number will be on the voucher). The ferry returns to Noosa Marina around 5pm for fireworks near The River Deck Restaurant, so why not book in for dinner! You can also catch a normal Sunday ferry at any time with your free ferry voucher from your Trail Bag.
Start early on Sunday with a breakfast at Sunshine Beach Surf Club, a favourite wedding venue overlooking the ocean (keep your eye out from the surf club deck for migrating whales – they put on a fantastic show last weekend). And take a guided stroll along the beach boardwalk to see some of the stunning outdoor ceremony sites that have been styled especially for the day.
The showcase resorts are also offering special Weekend Packages. See updates and some of the great exhibitors at facebook.com/noosaweddings.
