Wake to the sunrise over the water, stand up paddle on the
‘river of mirrors,’ spot the stingrays by the shore and BBQ under the
stars! A Noosa houseboat
holiday is the perfect way to start your NEW Noosa adventure!
You can even relax on the water at Lake Cootharaba or kayak through Australia’s only Everglades, and its football fields of water lilies.
It’s time, to start your NEW Noosa adventure!
These little houses on water, provided by Luxury Afloat Noosa Houseboats, are surprisingly spacious and also a little luxurious! Each one comes with its 3m motorised dinghy, giving you the freedom to leave or stay on board. Anchor wherever you like; close to Noosa or Noosaville or as far as Boreen Point on Lake Cootharaba.
Anyone can do it. We survived the three days without any of the kids going overboard, or Courtney getting us stuck in shallow water.
The three days were full of laughter mainly brought to us by Leo’s alternatives to fishing bait, yes ‘Allen’s Snakes’ will not catch you fish. And also by Courtney! We finally found something he can’t do. Using oars to paddle a dinghy is not his forte.
Cooking was simple. We order a weekend hamper from Getaway Pantry, so all that was needed was to fire up the BBQ and throw a few sausages for the kids and a nice steak for us (don’t laugh, we didn’t catch any fish). We loved hanging out on the front deck for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and being honest, it’s a place I didn’t want to leave. The water, the fish, the sunsets, and sunrises!
The stand up paddle boards from Noosa Stand Up Paddle were an excellent way to tire out the kids and a fun way to explore the shoreline, chase the ducks and the jumping fish, and occasionally catch a glimpse of stingrays.
But what I loved the most was sleeping in the gentle rippling water and waking up to views of the river and sunrise.
