Stretch out this weekend with yoga in Noosa
Just relax … so easy to say, but sometimes it seems impossible to do. We’ve found plenty of ways to relax in Noosa – you could say we've made it our purpose in life! Between sunrise strolls on the beach, sunset cocktails and plenty of laidback activity in between, we’ve pretty much mastered the art of relaxation.
For the ultimate in relaxation, yoga in Noosa has it covered. We have it hot and steamy, we have it near the river, we have it on the beach, and we have yoga that comes to you … we even have yoga on a stand-up paddle board!
Our friends at Metropolist Sunshine Coastrecently put together a round-up of some of the best yoga experiences in Noosa. Here’s a sample of what they found:
Bikram Yoga NoosaFor those who live for summer on the Coast, and love breathing thick, humid air, then Bikram Yoga Noosais your yoga match made in Zen. At Bikram Yoga in the Junction you’ll be prompted by teachers who have been taught by Bikram himself, so while we can’t promise it’s anywhere close to easy, at least you know you’ll be learning from some of the best. At a whopping 38-degrees Celsius and 40 per cent humidity you’ll be bending, stretching and pushing yourself further than you thought possible. If 90 minutes out of your day is too big of a chunk, try the 60-minute express class.
Where: 153 Cooyar Street, Noosa Junction
Yoga CircleIf turning off your stress switch and coming back to the present moment is a daily struggle that you want to get a grip on, then get your muddled head to Yoga Circle. Tucked just off Gympie Terrace, Yoga Circle is a place where you can reconnect to your body, mind and breath through a range of different yoga styles including Vinyasa and Iyengar. This riverside gem is also a fave among soon-to-be-mamas with their pregnancy yoga and birth prep classes.
Where: 8 Thomas Street, Noosaville
Noosa Yoga CentreSome yoga studios are awesome but lack a flexible timetable to get a class in between that after-work cocktail and dinner or, a home-cooked brekkie and the weekend market run. Noosa Yoga Centre is NOT one of those. Offering over 10 classes each week, there’s no excuse for you not to fit in sun salutations between knocking things off your to-do list.
Where: 2/10 Sunshine Beach Road, Noosa Junction
