Follow the Noosa River a few minutes on from Noosaville to Tewantin, one of the Noosa area’s earliest settled towns. Catch the Noosa Ferry to Noosa Marina with its riverfront shops and restaurants or take a short walk to the main village.

Just up the road, Tewantin National Park has some of the Sunshine Coast’s best mountain bike trails, and the Mt Tinbeerwah lookout which is easy to access, has stunning coastal and hinterland views.

Take a short riverside stroll to Tewantin village, or be delivered to the Marina on the picturesque Noosa Ferry. Stop in at Noosa Regional Gallery which hosts local and touring exhibitions. The ferry to Noosa North Shore, the Great Sandy National Park, and K'gari - Fraser Island leaves from Tewantin, at Moorindil Street.

Homewares, galleries, spas, cafes, and florists tempt in Tewantin. Noosa Marina, right on the waterfront, has some wonderful boutiques and homewares stores, and hosts craft and produce markets each Sunday from 8am - 2pm.

A little known fact

Makepeace Island, a luxury 25-acre heart-shaped private island, is just upstream from Tewantin - and you can stay there!
