Catch a free holiday bus around Noosa from 14 December to 27 January, including a new park-and-ride Loop Bus every 15 minutes between Hastings Street, Noosa Junction and Weyba Road, Noosaville.
Leave the car behind and jump on a free Sunbus, thanks to Noosa Council's Go Noosa transport campaign.
Six existing Translink bus routes that service Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach, Peregian Beach, Noosa Junction, Noosa Heads, Noosaville, Noosa Parklands, Tewantin, Noosa Civic, Cooroy, Cooran and Pomona will be free during the Christmas holidays.
Also, a new Loop Bus will depart every 15 minutes, from 7am to 7pm, in a clockwise direction to and from the Hastings Street bus stop; along Noosa Drive to Noosa Junction; and then Weyba Road and Noosa Parade in Noosaville. It will then depart half-hourly from 7pm to 10pm. See the Loop Bus map here.
Park your car at the new park-and-ride facility at the AFL ground on Weyba Rd, near where the Noosa Farmers Markets are held, and jump on the Loop Bus.
A trial queue-jump lane in peak periods will help keep the buses moving along Noosa Parade.
If you have to drive, more than 250 additional paid car parking spaces will be available at Noosa Heads Lions Park on weekends throughout the holidays and every day during the peak holiday period from Boxing Day to 12 January 12 - 50% of the proceeds from the paid parking will go to Tewantin-Noosa Lions Club to fund their community work.
Real-time video message boards beside major in-roads will guide drivers to park-and-ride locations and offer general parking availability information for the Noosa Heads area.
