Nick grew up on the back deck of a tourism boat. After a successful business career, he sought ways to protect the nature that sustains tourism.
Nick moved into politics, advising four Ministers, and learnt about the threats to tourism assets from climate change, unsustainable farming and fishing.
He led the World Wildlife Fund’s Queensland office for a decade, advocating in the media and at the highest levels to protect reefs, beaches, rainforests and wildlife. Wherever possible Nick worked with a range of industries to secure the best outcome.
After a long family association with Noosa, and more recently with the Noosa Biosphere, Nick wants to help Tourism Noosa's members protect what makes visiting Noosa so compelling and increasingly, unique.
