This October, Trail Trekkers is proud to bring the Great Noosa Trail Walk back to the Noosa hinterland for three days of walking, connection and community.
Running from 3-5 October 2026, the Great Noosa Trail Walk takes walkers on a journey of approximately 56 kilometres through the beautiful Noosa Biosphere trail network, linking Cooroy, Kin Kin, Cooran and Pomona.
For us, however, the Great Noosa Trail Walk is about much more than walking from one town to another. One of the things we love most about the event is the opportunity it creates for visitors to slow down and experience another side of Noosa. Walkers travel through forests, farmland and small hinterland communities, meeting local people and experiencing places that can easily be missed when travelling by car.
Community is also at the heart of the event. We are working alongside local community groups, sporting clubs, volunteers and businesses across the hinterland to help provide meals, hospitality, entertainment, logistics and those special touches that make a multi-day walking experience memorable.
As the new custodians of the Great Noosa Trail Walk, Tracy and I feel a real responsibility to respect what has been created over many years while continuing to develop the event for the future. Our Trail Trekkers philosophy is Explore · Connect · Breathe, and we feel the Great Noosa Trail Walk captures those three words beautifully, exploring the landscape on foot, connecting with people and communities along the way, and taking the time to simply breathe and enjoy where you are.
We are excited to welcome walkers to the Noosa hinterland this October and to continue working with the Tourism Noosa community to showcase just how much there is to discover beyond the coastline.
