Welcome To

Noosa Sound

What to Expect

Surrounded by the Noosa River, tranquil canals and Weyba Creek, Noosa Sound is a popular holiday pocket in Noosa Heads.

There’s a great range of holiday resorts, apartments and luxury waterfront homes that are an easy, flat walk to Hastings Street, Noosa’s Main Beach and Noosaville. You’ll also find wonderful riverfront restaurants right in Noosa Sound, at Quamby Place.

Why we love it

Launch a kayak or stand-up paddleboard from secluded sandy beaches.

Some of our favourite riverfront restaurants are in Quamby Place and there are riverfront parks with plenty of room for the kids to run around.

Hidden gem

Paddle through serene canals past luxury waterfront homes. The canals open up to Weyba Creek with its untouched mangroves and abundant birdlife.

Or paddle all the way to Hastings Street. Pull up at sandy beaches and waterfront parks including Nancy Cato Park, named after a Noosa environmentalist.

What’s on the menu

Quamby Place, a riverfront nook with some of our favourite restaurants and bars that have stunning river views. Choose between internationally awarded Japanese, family friendly smoky grill, chic and romantic with a contemporary twist, and more. Sunset cocktails at the restaurant bars are a must-do.

Our tip

Take a Noosa Ferry, Noosa Gondola, water taxi or Noosa Dreamboat and arrive at dinner in style at Quamby Place. Or walk from your accommodation to the jetty if you’re heading further out for dinner.

Yay - we're back! Some of Noosa's favourites reopen from Saturday 16 May
