Noosa Festival of Surfing

The 31st edition of the Noosa Festival of Surfing will be held in the beautiful waters of Noosa’s Laguna Bay, along with plenty of events out of the water too. Presented by the Noosa Malibu Club and World Surfaris, the Noosa Festival of Surfing is the largest longboard gathering in the world, and this year will return to the core roots established more than three decades ago!

There will be more age divisions for male and female competitors, while the Family Challenge event will be back in the lineup, along with the longboarding Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) surf event and the popular Vetshop Dog Surfing Championships.

Don't miss the incredible big wave surfer Mark Matthews, an internationally renowned motivational speaker, as he delivers his inspiring story in Mark Mathews - Life Beyond Fear. As a highly sought-after international speaker, Mathews’, with his surfer chill vibe and magnetic charisma, has graced the stages of leading companies worldwide. From Google, Sony, Intel, to MasterCard, he instantly captures audiences with his epic tales and spectacular ocean- themed adventure simulations. Obsessed with the relationship between personal growth, high performance and fulfilment, Mathewsis on a mission: Offer game changing ways to adapt to stress and increase wonder in the lives of others. He has deconstructed, fine-tuned, and personalised emotion and resilience techniques to successfully strengthen ones mindset and sustain long term performance.

Mark Mathews - Life Beyond Fear, Don't miss the highly sought after international speaker, Mark Mathews, as he presents during the Noosa Festival of Surfing, with his inspiring story Life Beyond Fear. Friday 11 March, The J Noosa, from 8pm. Tickets $55 (student and group discounts available).

SurfAid Opening Night Fundraiser, hosted by Layne Beachley and Brooke Farris, the topic of the night is 'women in surfing', and profits support SurfAid's fundraising efforts in supporting women and children in remote parts of the world. $75, includes canapes and two drinks on arrival, live entertainment and guest speaker Nick Carrol, Layne Beachley and Brooke Farris (Ripcurl CEO).

Noosa SolBar Beach Bar, Noosa Main Beach, pop-up beach bar, every day from noon to 8pm, serving Heads of Noosa and Moffat Beach Brewing Co. beers, Diablo Co, Blackflag Brewing, Sunshine & Sons cocktails, wines and more.

Sirromet Wines - International Women's Day Beach Bar, Tuesday 8 March, 2022. Celebrate this day with Sirromet Wines and the Women's Surf Festival, with wine and cheese banquets on offer throughout the afternoon at this free beach bar event. 12 - 6pm, free entry, with speakers including Sarra Robertson, Belen Alvarez Kimble, Kirra Molnar for a special Women’s Surf Festival speaker forum.

Active Escapes Beach Yoga, beach yoga sessions led by expert teachers, on the sand of Noosa Main Beach, $20, Saturday 5 March, 6 - 7am

Vetshop Australia Dog Surfing Championship, Saturday 5 March, 2:30 - 3:30pm, First Point.
