Embers, written by Natalie Burns, Vic, is an emotional roller-coaster about the all-consuming reality of bushfires and the unquenchable human spirit.
Carol’s Christmas, by Richard Harris, NZ, is a yuletide romp about about all the things you love about Christmas - but what happens when there is a an even bigger issue at hand?
Since 1978 Noosa Arts Theatre has been running the National One-Act Playwriting Competition. With the Nimmo Prize for best play worth $5000, it attracts entries from playwrights from all over Australia and other countries. Scripts are judged anonymously by a professional panel of three industry experts.
The audience is also asked at each performance to vote for the “Nancy Cato Audience Choice Award”. Presentation of awards takes place after the final performance.
