Noosa is at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast, a diverse region between Brisbane and Fraser Island, extending from coastal towns to hinterland.
Discover vast beaches, a thriving food scene and many natural treasures in the surrounding hinterland. There’s beachside culture, fresh local food, events and bucket-list experiences.

From the Glass House Mountains to Noosa and the Coloured Sands of Rainbow Beach, the region includes more than 100km of pristine sandy beaches that sit alongside tropical rainforest and majestic mountains, surrounded by villages steeped in history.
Make sandcastles at the beach in the morning, then indulge in afternoon tea in the hinterland, less than 40 minutes away.
A natural food bowl, the Sunshine Coast has an appetising variety of fresh produce such as avocados, ginger, pineapples, strawberries, Feijoas, macadamia nuts, tomatoes, passionfruit, lychees, seafood, and even snails.
Taste all this and more in waterfront restaurants, wineries, at food festivals, cooking schools and farmers markets. There’s a burgeoning artisan coffee industry and a thriving craft micro-brewery scene.
You’ll see the distinct peaks of the Glass House Mountains from many points around the Sunshine Coast, but you can also climb them!
Visit Mary Cairncross Rainforest Discovery Centre, take an easy walk through the rainforest, then stop at the gorgeous cafe with stunning views across the mountains and valleys.
Dive the wreck of the ex-HMAS Brisbane or paddle the Pumicestone Passage.
Visit artisan and farmers markets, cutting-edge fashion boutiques, air-conditioned plaza shopping and street fairs for one-of-a-kind trinkets, tasty food, handmade garments, original artworks, artisan furniture, homewares and jewellery.
