Tourism Noosa recently joined local business groups in a Coffee Cup Consultation with Cr Brian Stockwell to discuss current issues and future aspirations. Cr Stockwell does his Coffee Cup Consultations every six months or so.
“This is a grass roots process where I offer to meet all who are interested to discuss issues relevant to Council,” Cr Stockwell said. “For example, at the end of last year I focused on hinterland residents, discussing issues with residents from stalls at markets and in town centres, as well as by an online survey.”
The most recent meeting focused on the business sector where topics included the importance of the ‘Noosa brand’ to the local economy, the Draft Noosa Planning Scheme, signage regulation, events, innovation and the future Noosa economy.
