The River Deck Restaurant has been recognised at the 2019 ABIA National Designer of Dreams Awards. These highly competitive awards name the best of the best in the wedding industry Australia-wide.
The River Deck Restaurant, on the Noosa River at Noosa Marina, came in fourth in the Best Restaurant Reception category.
Renee Sullivan of CSTM Sound Body Corporate Management was named the 2019 Queensland Strata Community Association Strata Community Manager of the Year, then followed that up with the 2019 Australasian Strata Community Manager of the Year. These awards recognise a strata manager who has demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit, business acumen and innovation as well as an acknowledgment of ethics, leadership and professionalism.
Sound Body Corporate Management has been operating in Noosa for 23 years, offering administrative services to strata titled properties – mainly resorts, accommodation houses and residential and commercial properties.
Restaurants were recognised at the Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering 2019 Qld Awards for Excellence including Black Ant Gourmet - Kin Kin General Store which received an Honourable Mention in the Small Caterers section, and Kin Kin General Store was also a finalist in the Contemporary Australian Restaurant - Informal, South-East Queensland section.
Other Noosa finalists were Rococo Noosa for the European Restaurant section and Kaali Gourmet Indian Restaurant in the Indian/Sub-continent section.
The 2018 Noosa Classic Gran Fondo cycling event has received three nominations for the Australia Event Awards in the categories of Best New Event, Best Regional Event (Queensland) and Best Community Event. Despite a torrential downpour for the inaugural event it was a resounding success thanks to the support from the Noosa community, volunteers, partners and the riders. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on 18 September in Perth.
Geoff and Tamara from Ivory Palms Resort in Noosaville were named the Resident Manager of the Year Award for Short Stay Accommodation at the Australian Resident Accommodation Managers Association Awards (ARAMA). ARAMA CEO Trevor Rawnsley said they had demonstrated the highest professional standards of management rights operators.
Geoff and Tamara manage Ivory Palms Resort's 93 apartments and have increased occupancy by 95 per cent since taking over the management rights seven years ago. Geoff said they had won the trust of their owners to invest in and embrace new marketing strategies. He said none of it would have been possible without their dedicated staff.
