The Beet Retreat

The Beet Retreat, Australia's longest running all-vegan bed and breakfast, is just 15 minutes from Noosa Heads, after a move from the Yarra Valley Victoria in 2019.

Long beloved for its genuine warmth, welcome and wholesome delicious meals, it is the perfect escape for anyone seeking a unique and relaxing stay aligned with eco-ethical values.

The Beet Retreat, nestled on a treed and private 3 acres at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, is perfectly located for those who value a tranquil, semi-rural base to return to after a day exploring the many delights of the broader Noosa region. With Tewantin National Park and Mount Tinbeerwah both within walking distance, and Lake Cooroibah, Lake Cootharaba, the Everglades, Noosa North Shore and the central hub of Noosa itself just a few minutes' drive away, guests are able to enjoy the best of both worlds.

The Beet Retreat features extensive native gardens, large established trees and broad lawns where visiting kangaroos are seen most days. The property has 80 acres of Land For Wildlife bushland and is in transition to achieving the same registration itself.

A truly boutique experience, there are just 2 guest rooms: The more spacious Sunrise Room offers a large, stylish ensuite bathroom, private entry, gorgeous outside sitting area and a supremely comfortable queen size bed. Situated at the far end of the house your privacy is assured. Delicious, hearty breakfasts are complementary and dinner may also be ordered. All meals are always 100% plant-based but any dietary intolerances can be catered for.

All meals, as well as those created in the popular in-house cooking classes, are made with the freshest local produce possible. They are sourced from local markets and growers such as the award-winning, organic grower 'Good Harvest' and, when available, The Beet Retreat's own vegetable garden and orchard.

While most guests come to relax and reset, for those who wish to get active, your outdoor adventure-loving host Jan can recommend, direct or guide guests to or on some great experiences, including mountain bike and walking trails for any level of fitness, local peaks to greet sunrise from, and local businesses that will fulfill every active person's needs.
