Benefits for Noosa

Events held in Noosa not only offer economic benefits through increased tourism spending but also foster repeat visitation by showcasing the region’s natural beauty, and vibrant lifestyle offerings.

Economic Value

Events in Noosa contribute significantly to the local economy by attracting visitors, generating revenue for businesses, and creating job opportunities in various sectors such as hospitality, retail, and transportation. The economic value of events extends beyond direct spending, as they also enhance the region's reputation, attracting future visitors and investment. Additionally, events held in the Noosa region stimulate additional spending in ancillary services, such as entertainment, leisure activities, and cultural experiences, amplifying their overall economic impact on the community.

Trees for Tourism

Trees for Tourism is an environmental sustainability initiative by Tourism Noosa in partnership with Noosa and District Landcare. We are passionate about protecting and nurturing our pristine natural surroundings and Noosa’s major events play a big role in Trees for Tourism by donating $1 for every paying event participant to this program and its projects. It is estimated that one tree planted from Trees for Tourism on average will sequester 124kg of CO2 over its lifetime. To date, Trees for Tourism’s 6523+ trees will remove approximately 809 tonnes of CO2.

Regional Dispersal

Tourism Noosa encourages event organisers to consider holding all or part of their events in Noosa’s beautiful hinterland to showcase the region’s natural beauty and diverse offerings, providing event organisers with unique and captivating backdrops for memorable experiences. By encouraging events in the hinterland, Tourism Noosa aims to distribute tourism benefits across the region, fostering economic growth and sustainability beyond the coastal areas.
