6 of the Best Swimming Spots in Noosa

Summer is never far away in Noosa - we are blessed with year-round warm oceans and sunny winters - so grab your favourite swimmers and get ready for a dip, because we're about to unveil our guide to Noosa's best swimming spots! ☀️

1. DIP YOUR TOES IN AT LITTLE COVE

Picture this, it's Sunday morning, you've just finished a morning run, and you need a post-workout cool down.

So, you take a short 15 min walk east towards Noosa National Park and before you know it, you're stepping into a tranquil paradise of bright blue skies and crystal-clear water lapping at your feet. That's Little Cove.

2. NOOSA MAIN BEACH

Noosa Main Beach holds a special place in the hearts of Noosa locals. It's a breathtaking sight, wrapping around Noosa's headlands, with gently rolling waves, flat sandy bottoms and crystal-clear water, this beach is the ideal location for swimmers and surfers. So throw out a towel, put up an umbrella and enjoy your summer days on the sand!

The Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club patrols this beach every day of the year, making it a great option for swimming year-round. Noosa Main Beach is also located right by Noosa’s iconic Hastings St.

Does two beaches in one morning, followed by an afternoon of shopping and topped off with Betty's Burgers for lunch sound as good to you as it does to us?

3. NOOSA RIVER FORESHORE - A LITTLE POCKET OF JOY

With the Noosa River winding through its heart, Noosaville is a laidback spot with spectacular views and makes the perfect spot for fishing, boating - or any water-sport really!

Hire a stand-up paddle, Fliteboard, or Nauticycle from the team at Eco Noosa River Adventures and glide your way through the beautiful clear blue waters.

This beautiful river is unlike any other, it’s safe for swimming, has sandy banks lined with grassy parks and shaded trees that make it the perfect spot for a dip.

4. BRIGHTEN UP YOUR LIFE AT SUNSHINE BEACH

Locals favourite, Sunshine Beach, boasts a picturesque stretch of long sandy beaches that are perfect for swimmers and surfers alike. The northern end of Sunshine Beach is dog-friendly so your furry friend can join you for a wander and a swim.

Just a short stroll from the patrolled beach, you'll find the local Sunshine Beach village shops. Grab a cold drink, some fish and chips, locally brewed coffee at Sunshine Social, or sit down for an Asian-inspired meal from Embassy XO, curated small plates at Humble on Duke, or breakfast under the umbrellas at the Sunshine Beach Surf Club. You'll even find a handful of beautifully curated boutiques to wander through.

5. BY THE POOL: DIVE INTO HOTEL LAGUNA

Get your swimmers on and the sunscreen out because it's time to pack your bags and get to Hotel Laguna, which is home to stylish, self-catered apartments located in a quiet pocket of Hastings St. Hotel Laguna is positioned in the perfect spot to enjoy the water - right between Noosa's beaches and the Noosa River, PLUS, they have a beautiful sheltered pool (pictured), perfect for long lazy afternoons.

If you are looking for a holiday apartment that is close to restaurants and cafes, is tucked away, calm and has all the swimming options you could dream of, then Hotel Laguna is the ultimate option for your ideal summer vacay.

6. BY THE POOL: TINGIRANA NOOSA - YOUR TICKET TO LAIDBACK LUXURY

With direct access to Noosa Main Beach, a short walk to Noosa National Park, and with their doorstep on Hastings St, Tingirana Noosa is your ticket to laid-back Noosa luxury.

If you love the beach, but some quiet time by the pool sounds like a good option to you, then Tingirana Noosa’s beachfront pool is the place to be. It’s heated to 28°C and is open exclusively to resort guests. We reckon their pool has one of the best views in town, overlooking beautiful Main Beach and Noosa Headland. Don't miss it!

With epic views and the best beaches in the world, (did you know it’s also a designated World Surfing Reserve!?) Noosa is where you want to be this summer.
