Emu Mountain is an easy climb with a spectacular payoff. The gentle 1.1km trail to the summit, offers sweeping 360-degree views along the coast from Noosa to Maroochydore. Visit between June and November and keep an eye out for humpback whales making their annual migration along the coast. For a quieter side of Peregian Beach the National Park Fringe Walk takes you through Noosa National Park’s swamplands, sedgelands and paperbark forests, with seasonal wildflowers adding colour. This 3km return walk from Peregian Village is an easy way to explore the natural beauty surrounding the coast. Or for a longer adventure, head south along the beach towards Coolum. At low tide, you can walk all the way to Stumers Creek, with designated dog-friendly areas where dogs can roam off lead.
