Day 1

Ancient Waterways of the Noosa Everglades

Discover the upper reaches of the Noosa River as it extends into the Noosa Everglades. Known as the River of Mirrors because of the amazing reflections in the water caused by the tannin from Tea Trees that line the banks. Do not forget your camera! The area provides one of Australia’s most diverse ecosystems and is a hidden gem, with the Everglades system one of only two in the world.

Kayak tours depart from Boreen Point and boat tours depart from Elanda Point, where you can stay overnight and enjoy the onsite craft brewery and restaurant.

Day 2

Noosa North Shore

A 5-minute journey across the Noosa River via the car ferry at Tewantin, takes you to Noosa North Shore. You will find more than 70km of unspoilt open beaches, golden sands and forest wilderness. A permit is required for 4WD vehicle access and camping. Popular outdoor activities include fishing, horseriding on the beach, joining a ‘fat wheel’ eco bike tour, surfing and hiking.

Visit Red Canyon, the Coloured Sands, township of Teewah Beach and Double Island Point Lighthouse for extraordinary 190-degree coastal views.

Day 3

Noosa Trail Network

Noosa is home to eight scenic hinterland trails to explore, suitable for walking, hiking, biking and horse riding. The trails travel across Noosa’s hinterland towns of Cooroy, Pomona, Cooran and Kin Kin through country landscapes, eucalypt forests, green farmland, mountain peaks, lakes and country towns.

As Noosa is surrounded in nature, you will spot wallabies, koalas, goanna’s, the black cockatoo, whipbirds and over 1300 species of flora. Visit Noosa Council for a map, information, and current warnings along the trails.

Day 4

The Woorooi Trails (Tewantin National Park)

A short 10km journey from Noosa Heads is a slice of natural paradise, offering over 25km of fast-flowing, single track mountain bike trails. The well-maintained tracks provide stunning bushland and rainforest scenery and are home to native wildlife including koalas and echidnas.

You can join a mountain bike tour to explore the trails, hire a bike or bring your own. Ensure you plan ahead and choose the trail to suit your riding ability from easy, intermediate and difficult.

Day 5

Action adventure in Noosa

Head back into Noosa for an adrenalin take on adventure. Hike the Noosa National Park trails, or hire a surfboard to surf the protected point breaks. Skydive over Noosa to catch the layout of the land from National Parks, sand blows, the Noosa Everglades and rolling green hinterland. A jetboat ride past Noosa National Park to Sunshine Beach provides whale, dolphin and turtle spotting.

A jet ski tour or fishing charter is a great way to explore the open water or abseil or climb a mountain at sunset.
