Prepare for a paddock-to-plate experience, aquatic adventures, historic sites, creative communities, local brews and scenic lookouts on this gorgeous drive.
Step back in time and follow the Cooloola Wilderness Trail to Mill Point, one of Queensland’s earliest timber settlements from the 1800s. On the shores of Lake Cootharaba, an old tram track leads to the ruins, including an old cemetery, which are listed on the Queensland Heritage Register.
Start from the serene waters of Queensland’s largest natural saltwater lake. Camp lakeside at Boreen or Elanda Points and wake up to kangaroos and birdsong or hire a kayak and paddle out. Swim, stand-up paddle, sail or walk along the shore, and if time allows, join a Noosa Everglades tour.
Drive through the green hills of Noosa’s countryside, looking out for roadside farm stalls to fill your basket along the way. Visit the Cooloola Berries farm café, open every day for delicious snacks, or pick your own strawberries in-season (June to November).
Pass by farms that provide Noosa's restaurants with fresh produce. Stop for great coffee and delicious meals at Kin Kin General Store or a cool drink at The Country Life Hotel. Stretch your legs on the Noosa Trail Network or visit the Kin Kin Creation Markets on the first Sunday of each month.
On your way to Cooran is Amrita Park Meadery, Queensland’s first (open Saturdays). In the village, Noosa Hinterland Brewing Co has cool craft brews from Thursday to Sunday. Tablelands Lookout has spectacular views and the Noosa Trail Network continues with walks as short or as long as you…
