Tourism Business Capability Subsidy:
Eligible businesses can receive up to $2,000 in funding for professional development, industry accreditation and business improvement initiatives, including eligible accreditation renewals.
Funding covers a range of approved activities, including AI skills training, sustainability programs and certifications, tour guide and marine qualifications, and other capability development opportunities.
Applications close on 30 September 2026 or until funds are exhausted.

Noosa Council has funded a new, independent service delivered by Zero Emissions Noosa (ZEN) to help local businesses rein in rising energy costs and make the most of new technology. ZEN's Business Energy Advisor, Josh Stevens, provides practical, no-cost advice to small and medium-sized businesses across the Shire.
ZEN Chairperson Anne Kennedy says the service aims to help businesses reduce their energy bills and improve their bottom line.
This service is free, only for businesses operating in the Noosa Shire, and is vendor-neutral: no commissions and no product sales. Josh doesn’t represent an energy retailer or equipment supplier.

Tourism and Events Queensland works in partnership with ATDW, Australia’s largest tourism network. To list your business on Queensland.com (which often offers free deal listings for tourism operators with an ATDW listing) and other travel websites, log-in or register with ATDW HERE.

Plastic Free Noosa is a Tourism Noosa initiative that's free and easy to join. We help businesses successfully eliminate single-use plastic items which represent the most problematic and prolific sources of the litter stream. When members eliminate all of these, they become Plastic Free Champions and are promoted as such in the community.

Certification programs are respected by travellers, brands and destinations globally, and help consumers make informed decisions about the tourism experiences they choose.
When a travel business displays an EarthCheck certification badge, visitors know they have been through a rigorous, science-backed, people-focused sustainability certification process. It gives businesses the tools they need to measure their impact and to make business decisions that save money, resources and the planet.

Are you prepared if an emergency occurred in your business? Business Queensland has a large range of resources available to support tourism, hospitality and events businesses to prepare for and respond to various disasters, including health and IT threats, tourist deaths or other accidents.
