Noosa Biosphere Trails

If you’ve never heard of the Noosa Biosphere Trails, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Previously known as the Noosa Trail Network, this maze of trails in the Noosa hinterland was recently upgraded, but it has managed to stay mostly under the radar, even for the most savvy explorers – meaning that you’re likely to have these trails all to yourself! The mixed trails can be tackled on foot, bike, or by horseback. They crisscross throughout the Noosa back country, and link the hinterland towns of Cooroy, Pomona, Kin Kin, and Cooran. Along the way, you’ll take in epic scenery, including towering eucalypt forests, expansive lookouts, dense forestry, working dairy farms, timber plantations, macadamia groves, and horse studs, and the terrain is varied throughout with a mixture of grass, gravel, paved roads, and rocks. When you pop out of one of the trails and find yourself in one of the quaint country towns of the Noosa Hinterland, rejoice because there are some epic country pubs, cosy cafes, and gourmet eateries waiting to be discovered.
