What to do
Follow the Noosa River a few minutes on from Noosaville to Tewantin, one of the Noosa area’s earliest settled towns. Catch the Noosa Ferry to Noosa Marina with its riverfront shops and restaurants or take a short walk to the main village.
Just up the road, Tewantin National Park has some of the Sunshine Coast’s best mountain bike trails, and the Mt Tinbeerwah lookout which is easy to access, has stunning coastal and hinterland views.
Take a short riverside stroll to Tewantin village, stopping in at Noosa Regional Gallery which hosts local and touring exhibitions
Catch the vehicular ferry to Noosa North Shore, the Great Sandy National Park and Fraser Island
Fresh bakery goods and great espresso entice in Tewantin. Noosa Marina's eateries also serve up everything from fresh fish 'n’ chips to local seafood and modern Australian cuisine
Homewares, galleries, spas, cafes and florists tempt in Tewantin, and the Noosa Marina craft and produce markets are held each Sunday, 8am - 2pm.
The Big Shell, a throwback to the 1960s is a must-see for all ages, with all sorts of treasures from the ocean
