Coastrek Sunshine Coast will be held on Friday 21 July, with trekkers walking 20-60km along some of the most picture-perfect trails in the world, from Currimundi to Noosa. Tourism Noosa members are invited to consider either:
More than 11,000 trekkers joined Coastrek events throughout Australia in 2022, raising $7.9 million for the event's charity partner.
Registration for the 60km event closes on 30 April and all other distances on 21 July (unless sold out earlier).
In 2023, the event will support the Heart Foundation. In partnering with heart, we will all be walking for the physical, mental, and social health of our trekkers, and fundraising to encourage all Australians to live healthier, happier lives.
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in Australia, and we want to change that. The Heart Foundation relies on donations from a range of fundraising activities (including Coastrek!) to deliver its programs and fund life-saving research. We have an opportunity to raise awareness, improve prevention and invest in life changing programs as their largest community fundraiser. We will fund projects for women, for research and prevention and for indigenous health. We know that those who have greater balance across all facets of their health are much better equipped to deliver their best work and live their best life. Coastrek is an epic adventure challenge, culminating in a 20-60km hike along the scenic coast. For your colleagues, it is an opportunity to feel better, work smarter, bond with team-mates, and have a whole lot of fun, whilst raising funds that will go directly to the Heart Foundation.
